GLYN MARSTON

            Ride London- Surrey 100

July 31st 2016 and Glyn was to take on the Ride London- Surrey 100 mile cycle event.

Exhausted but proud, Glyn holds his medal with pride after cycling for 100 miles around the Surrey hills.

This was the second part of Glyn Marston's 'CHALLENGE LONDON 2016' which was to see him run in the 'LONDON MARATHON' (10 years after running in his last marathon) the second part of his challenge was to take on the 'RIDE LONDON - SURREY 100' to raise funds for Epilepsy action.

Taking in the views and taking it all in his stride, Glyn set himself a speed (or pace) that will get across the finish line well within the time limit but with enough time to enjoy the challenge ahead.

It was a day that he totally enjoyed- a tough challenge but enjoyable.

Around the 20 mile part of the event and with the sun shining it was a perfect day for a ride.

A great group photograph of heroes on two wheels and most raising funds for charity, Glyn Marston was supporting Epilepsy action on this event.

Challenge London has made 2016 a fantastic year for Glyn Marston- a man on medication for life to control epilepsy and also sporting a false titanium right knee.

When local media announced the Glyn Marston was forced to retire from long and Ultra distance running some folk may have thought that this would the last they would hear of him... HOW WRONG THEY WERE !!

Glyn Marston is doing more for his community and for charity than ever before- and long may it continue.

Approaching the Mall and reaching the finish line, after 100 miles of tackling the huge Surrey hils and the hard slog up Box hill- the finish line is such a wonderful sight ....  a great moment for our Ambassador.

London marathon and Ride London medals - The 2016 challenge completed and done in style.
