To run in the Paris marathon and then run in the London marathon a week later

Oh.... and to run the distance between too.

A unique challenge and one of great imagination whereas runners from Britain, France and South Africa would join together and run a total of 250 miles or more in eight days.

Run the Paris marathon- then run from the finish line all the way to Greenwich for the London marathon... 31 - 35 miles in 8 days.

After running in the Paris marathon and then running the five miles back to their hotel, the group woke up the next morning and after a group photo- they were on their way to St Denis and the first leg of the challenge.

Taking in the beautiful views of the French countryside made this challenge a lot more bearable- a great way to see any country.

The cammaraderie between the runners was strong and encouragement was never short between the group who infact were still relatively strangers at this point.

With the heat rising through the day - the group had agreed on a little rest, refreshments before getting on their feet and setting again.

Almost at the checkpoint to signal the end of the days run.
Finished for the day- roll on tomorrow.

At Greenwich, the eve of the London marathon - at this point only six of the runners were still in the challenge, unfortunately another was to drop out of the London marathon because of inury.
